Testifying, Documentation & Ethical Medical-Legal Relationships
20 CE Credits
*CE Credits are issued for Doctors of Chiropractic only.
*Please note this course is only approved for 5 credits in the state of New Hampshire.
*Please note this course was only approved for 10 CE credits in the state of Texas.
The Testifying course covers how to set up
the "4-corners" of your patient documentation for a medical-legal
setting based upon an accurate history and physical examination and then how to
ensure it is documented accurately. It then goes to the next step in showing
you how to articulate and if necessary, defend your records in
direct-examination, cross-examination and re-direct examinations. This program
covers every aspect of the legal process in becoming an expert, inclusive of
what is required to be considered an expert at this level.
Although doctors have to follow the
tenents of our licenses, we are also compelled by the legal system to function
according to the rules of the courts, which are not inherent within the
training of doctors and this course will prepare you to succeed in that system.
In addition, the course will prepare you to triage your patients based upon
clinical necessity and secure the documentation from other providers to
conclude and accurate diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan.
