Syllabus
45 Minutes: Billing and coding for “Evaluation and Management” guidelines. Defining trauma vs. non-trauma etiologies in coding. Identifying carrier “traps” with improper coding
30 Minutes: DMPOs – Legal Discount Medical Plan Organizations. The legalities of a two-fee system and avoiding insurance fraud issues by compliantly offering discounts to cash patients.
30 Minutes: Proper evaluation and management and SOAP note documentation to avoid carrier “fraud traps.”. How to demonstratively document to ensure reimbursement for long-term care when clinically indicated.
75 Minutes: Demonstrable validation of treatment plans that clinically correlate to diagnosis. The validation that prevents audits and lawsuits and ensures reimbursement. An evidence-based approach to X-Ray utilization and the mechanisms of the chiropractic adjustment.
