Description

3 CE Credits

This 3 hour course covers how to document the entire history and findings of a trauma case and ensures that both settlements(Colossus) and verdict items are covered through thorough documentation. The entire program is centered on the current teachings in academia and focuses on creating an accurate diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan. The carriers algorithms for "Colossus type" requirements are quite specific and when analyzed meet all of the academic requirements for thorough documentation. Those standards, inclusive of functional losses and ancillary care, support, gaps in care, etc... are all explained in detail. There are many areas where courtroom requirements conflict with carrier requirements, however if an academic standard is adhered to, both scenarios are ethically documented.

Part 1:  Integration of "Colossus type" insurance algorithms and court documentation requirements with current academia standards. Protocols and documentation standards in ordering diagnostics and treatment regimens.                                           2 Hours

Part 2: Documenting functional losses, both duties under duress and loss of enjoyment of life and the 36 points utilized by the courts, "Colossus type" insurance algorithms and required by academia.                                                                                   1 Hour
