The Personal Injury (PI) Bootcamp is a series of 7 different courses created to give the doctor in the trauma environment a broad background and credentials in determining causality, triaging and diagnosing the accident patient. The program also covers strategies on how to create paradigm shifts in the medical-legal community to have lawyers seek you out because, through clinical excellence, you are the best-of-the-best.

These courses are designed to help you understand the trauma patient from both a clinical aspect and from the medical-legal perspective. It guides you in documenting your care and conclusions as well as diagnosing through advanced imaging, neurodiagnostics and clinical evaluations. The courses also teach the doctor business protocols on how to use the laws in your state to ensure timely payment through effective documentation and how to deliver that documentation to third party payers.

The documentation protocols in this program has been reviewed by 10,000's of lawyers nationally and has been certified as admissible and complete for accurately reporting causality, bodily injury and functional loss. These are mandatory requirement for most states.  The Academy has worked tirelessly with lawyers nationwide to ensure quality reporting while maintaining ethical relationships.

This program has proven successful for over 20 years and underscores that advertising and marketing is a failed paradigm for successful personal injury practices. There is no substitute for clinical excellence and having your documentation in an admissible format.

This is a certification course where, upon completion, you will able to access certificates suitable for framing and displaying in your office. It is a 9 hour course done in 7 parts where the longest one is 2 hours. Where accepted nationally for online courses, this course offers 9 chiropractic continuing education credits certified by the New York State Department of Education.

Module #1: Personal Injury 101
Triaging and reporting while maintaining ethical medical-legal relationships

This is an Audio Only Program

Course Objective: This course gives you the rationale of why some doctors have huge personal injury practices, yet others struggle and never will. It explains why marketing, advertising, dining and sporting events are failed paradigms in building the PI practice and are not substitutes for clinical excellence and admissibility. This program sets the foundation of understanding the needs of the medical-legal community and unless you speak the language of the lawyer in an ethical relationship, you will forever be on the outside looking in. We also set the foundation of the tools needed, in documentation, clinical skills and protocols required to be the best-of-the-best at what you do and the formula for getting the lawyer to come after you vs. you begging and pleading for referrals.

Module #2: Physical Examination & Documentation for the Trauma Patient

Course Objective: This session of the PI Bootcamp explains the "why" behind your evaluation for admissibility purposes. It goes into depth on how to communicate your findings to the legal community. There is a step-by-step formula on what to include in a thorough, yet concise history and evaluation and sets the foundation on how to build your narrative on that basis. It will explain, in detail, how to "de-bunk" many of the myths in the medical-legal community that hurt your patient, through "clinical excellence" and how to communicate the truth in an admissible format. This course is essential in understanding the how and why of the narrative process while also creating an admissible format.

Module #6: Documentation and Working within Your State Laws to Ensure Compliant Paperwork and Reimbursement

Course Objective: This session is designed to show you how to use compliant documentation and various programs in securing payment and cash flow for your practice. We bring in specialists in the medical-legal-financial world that show you how compliant documentation is the key to winning in practice.

The course will also cover how to use the laws in your state to secure payment in a timely fashion. It uncovers the “secrets” of what the insurance industry does not want you to know, the laws in every state in the country that force them to pay your claim in a timely fashion. The insurance industry has a finite date to pay your claim by law, in most states. If they don't, they have to pay you interest and can be fined in many states for improper delays. Knowing the laws and how to implement them has taken offices from 50-60% collections to 95-100% collections in a short amount of time. It all centers around accurate documentation and implementation of that paperwork.
