This MRI Spine course is designed to take a doctor from no knowledge of MRI's to being able to understand the basics of how to interpret spinal MRI's. Our goal is to give you the tools and knowledge base to start understanding how to utilize MRI and be able to follow the interpretation of other health care providers.

Course Objective: To be able to learn the foundational basics for interpreting MRI. This begins with understanding the opening of the MRI disc and navigating various images and sequences. Once the images are opened, be able to understand the basics of MRI physics of T1, T2 and STIR weighted images. To understand the different disc pathologies ranging from bulges and herniations along with the different subcategories.
Course Goals: To teach the student how to open MRI images from disc and then how to navigate. To help them see the differences between T1, T2 and STIR weighted images along with pathologies ranging from bulging and herniated discs and their various variations.
MRI Spinal Anatomy, Protocols and Disc Pathology, Normal anatomy of axial and sagittal views utilizing T1, T2, gradient and STIR sequences of imaging. Degeneration and annular fissuers of discs in both trauma and non-trauma patients and the biochemical properties of joints in age dating pathology. Disc bulges from degenerative and sequalla to osseous issues, herniation pathology and protrusion, extrusion, migrated and sequestered variations.
